History
Building our brand
The process of creating the brand has made us aware of our unique ability – perspective.
Our goal was to create a strong, unified brand that would cover all three segments of the business where we operate – from retail services to warehousing and logistics and to e-commerce and, at the same time, could present us in all the markets where we are present (CZ, SK, HU) or are planning to expand to.
We sought a name that was confident, memorable and easy to pronounce.
We are NAUT
The story behind the name
Naut is originally Latin for sailor. At that time it mainly referred to an explorer who sailed on a ship to unknown lands.
Later, when man began to conquer even the space above us, when he began to sail in airships, he became an AeroNAUT, and only much later, when he went into space in a spacecraft, he became an AstroNAUT.
He was always a courageous person unafraid of being the first to step out into something new and unknown. A bold explorer = today, figuratively, an innovator, had to be a man with insight – he saw the world from a different perspective than ordinary landlubbers; he travelled beyond the horizon, saw what was beyond the horizon, knew and understood more.
He also had to be technically proficient – he had to be able to navigate by the stars and determine his position and direction, in detail for that time. To learn, while sailing, from his own mistakes, and to draw maps of the world as no one had seen it before. All of these qualities personify what NAUT was and what it represents today.
